When using it outdoors, make sure it is hung in a well-ventilated area so that it can dry completely after rain. It should be brought indoors or screened in during high nighttime humidity to prevent mildew, as the blind is made of untreated natural bamboo. If used in a high humidity environment, consider applying spray-on fungicide. The blind is corded, so it is important to install child safety cord cleats at least 6 feet (72 inches) above the floor to ensure safety for children and pets. The cord should never be left hanging at any time.

The natural wood-tone bamboo matchstick roll up blind without valance filters partial sunlight while still allowing visibility through the slits between each matchstick.
